Part I Featuring Rachel | AHS 2017
Get ready for a series of out-of-the-box, creatively styled session with an editorial flair!!!! I’m so excited to have THREE shoots scheduled featuring models from the Class of 2017. Each shoot is entirely different — showcasing a different part of my personality and giving me a chance to take a few risks with poses, set ups, and styling before starting our 2017 Senior season this June! Concept: Dream of Ballerinas
We shot this session in early March and took a road trip up to Swannanoa tucked along Skyline Drive. I absolutely love old homes (or mansions..or palaces..) – the architecture, the history, the stories, all of it and Swannanoa does not disappoint!!! I just wish we could’ve shot ALL day. I knew the grounds and white marble would be the perfect backdrop for two classic ballerinas. We stepped away of the tutus and I had the girls dress in a few ballerina-inspired fashions… truthfully, I can never get enough lace, ruffles, pleats, or floral textures… my film camera loves it! Rachel is a beautifully trained dancer and I thrilled to have her in front of my lens. We gave her a bit of an edge with the faux hawk to balance all of our girly details. I hope she can figure it out to make this hairstyle part of her daily life because she is owning it!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from Rachel’s Set! Teagan’s will be NEXT!
